While I find nothing wrong with technology, it has created a generation of idiots that don't understand the metal doohicky at the end of their keyfob will unlock the door when the battery in the fob is dead.
The best way to keep your car from being stolen is to drive a manual. I've noticed I can't navigate like I used to because I've replied on gps long enough to forget. I wonder how stupid we will be in another 20 years.
I drive a manual.
Those are getting scarce, with manufacturers cutting down on the models available with a stick. Even the big holdout, Subaru, has stated they will begin phasing them out - even for their hot rods. Gotta have that nannydriver system.
(I admit, those are fun to play with, you get someone following you at an asscrack's width - my car usually has trouble going fast about that time. Really odd.)
I have a son that just got his license last year. He bought an older car with a stick. At least I know he can't let any of his friends borrow the car.
