That's because it's taught that Edison "invented" the light bulb, but in reality his lab only turned out a practical, long-life bulb that was cheap enough to be used in the home as a commodity. He does have credit for bringing recorded music into the home with cylinders, but Berliner's discs were much more practical and still used today.

I understand that OP was just shilling, trying to be a troll about something they had absolutely no understanding of. My writeup was in case someone else said "why is that?"
