What's the point of doing this when there will likely be a new USB connector in some years?
So that we don't have to purchase branded conversion equipment just to charge our older but still-functional equipment I suppose. Again, consumer protection from a corporate world gone mad with the lust for total market control.
There is no difference between corporate or government. Also there does not need to be any more regulations.
The Bill of Rights is a list of regulations. Regulations on government or large corporations I can accept. Because I'm not a prescriptive dunce.
The game is chess not checkers, they want to regulate and control your phone/communications more. That is the goal. It's not about a fucking connector. Since when does the government give a shit about your conveniences?
