Pretty sure they just did the same thing I invented many years ago but never realized it was such a big deal. Likely the con rod is now a group of structural tubes, likely being at 1/5 the weight of traditional, and solving the secondary balance issue.
Glad someone finally put it into production. It will translate to race engines too, likely too e pensive past that, except high dollar super cars.
Ok, finally watched the video OP.
I mean it doesn't tell me anything, but it's cool that it increases displacement and power.
I wonder if it could be used to make V12s more powerful, the only engines I care about.
The purpose is to create large displacement inline 4 cylinders. Thought the video pretty well explains that.
