Cool, I hope it works out, I could use a new e-reader.

Have you found a size that works best?

I got a small one but wish in hindsight it was bigger, I thought the small one for portability but it is difficult to read.

What features did you overlook on your last one or are looking for in your next one?

My current one is an OG b&n nook. I've found it to be an ok size but I wouldn't mind a little bigger screen. That I think could be accomplished by just having a touch capable e-ink display with a built in front light would just about do it. 10" might be a bit much so maybe 7" or 8"? Battery life is the biggest thing for me, some of that desire may stem from my current one being so old the battery doesn't hold a charge that well anymore. Things like being able to play music or surf the web is neat but distracting from the intended use of reading.

I got a Nook Simple Touch years ago and really liked it, but I pulled it out after not using it for a while and the rubber on it has become tacky to the touch.

The main things I want now are a larger screen and a backlight. Lack of backlight on the NST was a pain in the ass, as I had to use an aftermarket clip light for night reading before bed.

As for size I'm looking at ones that are similar sized to the Kindle Oasis, about 7". The Kobo Libra H2O is pretty nice at ~$160, though it doesn't have the smooth bezel like their real competitor for the Oasis (which is about as expensive as the Oasis).

These things are going to be impossible to get if they price them that low. The electronics shortage is going to fuck these small businesses over. And NPCs wonder why "covid" fear porn isn't relenting.
