I use palemoon except I'm quite a few old version when they stopped supporting the old addon type. I lose two things that I care about.
1 - right click context menu close tab 2 - = tile tabs, the best addon (non adblocker) for any browser ever no exceptions even possible
Have you checked out Waterfox by chance? I think they still support the old add-ons.

There's a "new" version for the new addon methods but it requires new windows. All of those are embeded into the same window. It's glorious.
