If you need secure chat, the only way to do it is by controlling both endpoints and using e2e encryption. Even that's not guaranteed.

in 2021, I'm far less afraid of the Russian government than I am of the US Government. Fewer communists. Let Vlad watch me chat, I'd rather have him peering over my shoulder than Joe Xiden.
Plus I'm kinda counting on the russians sending ammo when America goes tits up, I'd like them to know where to send it.
