TPM is literally just a chip for storing crypto keys, I haven't seen any practical use of it beyond facilitating full disk encryption without a password, which is useless if someone already has access to your whole computer, they're not just going to yank your HDD out, they'll just take the whole computer if someone wants to steal your data.
