i can imagine trying to sell this shit to an investor during a joy flight... 'well what you got here is an aeroplane son.' 'thems there are wings see... thems ailerons.... thats what we call a 'propellor' in a 'pusher' configuration' 'its got android auto!' *cessna 172 bug smasher roars past complete with student pilots hanging arses out of window* 'how much is one of these going to cost again? cos i can get one of those for less than a second hand VW golf.' you want an 'air car' it either needs to have retractable surfaces and power it with something big enough to get air moving over them that still needs to be small enough to be not stupid, or you need to have no wings at all and keep it up using energy directed down then be able to get it to somehow accelerate and slow down, more akin to a harrier jet than say an f35 and gotta be honest with you thats more where my imaginination goes on that one because im betting there is a way to not only do exactly that but convert existing cars into something that could actually fly... theres some pretty awesome stuff going on with hybrid electric turbofans.
