If you look at the [Windows 10 21H1 "Supported Processors"](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-10-21h1-supported-intel-processors), it only goes back to the 5000 series. I know a friend on a 2000 series i7 that is running win10 just fine.
