Seems like a civil matter, I don't see why the FBI became involved unless they already had a hard-on for Huawei. Certainly if I called the FBI to complain that Huawei destroyed my tech sample they would tell me to piss off.

The article mentions that the glass sample was sent to China, breaking US law. That's why the FBI got in on it.

Stealing trade secrets, after signing paperwork that explicitly forbids it, is not a joke. Fuck China and their constantly stealing our shit.
