Hydrogen is a boondoggle and will never replace other fuels. I wish we could stop them from wasting all these resources on a non-starter just to virtue signal.

True. Hydrogen is mostly created from natural gas.

Hydrogen is energy storage and not an energy source.

Fairly sure Kelly Johnson investigated hydrogen for the SR71 and dismissed it due to storage requirements.

The aircraft manufacturer, Lockheed Martin, initially wanted the SR-71 to use liquid hydrogen as fuel — similar to the space shuttle's main engines — but abandoned the idea because it would have required huge amounts of fuel.

If you read Kellys biography i believe it was also rejected because of the cryogenic storage required
