The micro chip is more a sensor than anything. It began development in 2016 to put inside soldiers and it would monitor B/P Pulse and O2 saturation for commanders and medical personnel in real time be able to see the status on soldiers in combat. It has been repurposed to test for covid anti bodies. Still fucking stupid but far from a microchip. And since it hasn't even been ok'd for military application it PROBABLY won't be for the general pop anyways
