Not much of a challenge since intel owns nvidia...

This is a reaction to Apples upcomming supercomputer chips based on its amazing M1 chip.

NVIDIA will use Apples choice of RAM : LPDDR4x-4267 ram, and Apples strategy of a ARM core with no RAM controller or support chips in the way and no sockets. no connectors, no sockets.

Apples M1 is the first home computer (only $699 !!!) that does over a TERAFLOP of math computations in a web browser on a web site!

That is 12 times faster than any Intel laptop or desktop for same price range.

But outside a browser , direct chip. Apple registers up to 2.6 Teraflops... GPU card speed.

here is 1 teraflop in a browser source code :

https://jott.live/markdown/m1_webgpu_perf

If you have Safari, you can try it .

1 TERAFLOPS in all my testing on average, if no other tasks running except web browser.

1 TERAFLOPS is of course so fast it terrifies NVIDIA and INTEL.

Apples big trick is that their chip is not a normal ARM core (Apple OWNS part of ARM consortium and owns prior patent access forver for ARM).... Apples big trick is it has INTEL CPU tricks to make apples intel x86-64 21 times faster than microsofts intel emulator on non-apple arm. The tricks are 6 different ram coherency hacks for parallelism not part of ARM 8.

Apple emulates old intel code at NATIVE SPEED!

Apples intel benchmarks on m1 are 21 times faster than normal arm to intel emulators like the one this month from Microsoft!

Apple is also entering the video GPU arena soon, and all Apple m1 computers already come with "almost good enough" video GPUs with ridiculously fast RAM.

Apple ‘M1’ vs. AMD vs Nvidia: who will win Graphics:
https://dailytechnic.com/apple-m1-vs-amd-vs-nvidia-who-will-win-graphics/

Apple’s M1 wins by a landslide, defeating both AMD Radeon and Nvidia GeForce in the benchmark tests by a massive lot

Apple wins at cost and wins at electricity consumption, and soon apple will ship with far more gpu cores.
