look at the Razor's with the optical switches ... and i just now saw that is also using opticals in some of theirs - i had one of their models with mechanical switches and it lasted a very long time, like around 10 years as i recall
I have an that only started acting up recently after about 17 years.
Those Infernos are sold out everywhere I look.
i just checked myself and couldn't find one - the Inferno was a pretty good mouse, but i wouldn't buy it a 2nd time, though i really miss the 2 'wing' buttons which essentially gave you 4 top buttons (+ wheel)
take a look at the - it's an 11 button job with their optical switches and a welcome adjustable scroll wheel - the only thing i don't like about it is the size - i like a small-ish mouse
I had a Razer Deathadder that came down with switch bounce after a while, but for $50 it's worth trying that one at some point.
While we're at it, do you know of any good mechanical keyboards that don't make much noise? Running brown switches right now and I wouldn't wanna go any louder than that.
