The review did mention a bit of tearing on some of the more intensive games, but nothing that you couldn't overlook for the price.

I'll have to check it out and see how hackable it is.

Yes, but trying to play games designed for a handheld, that is with tactile buttons, is a pain in the ass.

Sure, if you want a mobile fiddly device that comes with lots of ROMs it's not a bad product. But I wouldn't use the screen alone as a selling point.

The screen looks very small, that is bad for your eyesight, specially in games with lots of stuff going on.

It's because they are capable of making good margins even at that price, that's why it sells under 40

Now I get that it's the chinese part that you secretly hate here
