Using Windows 10 Pro. My m.2 SSD drive gets about 450 MB/s random access read/write performance in benchmarks. But in real-world usage peaks out at about 50.I'm using a Ryzen 3800x and I've assigned 4 PCIE lanes. Why is my real-world performance so bad and how can I improve it?

Can confirm. Ran a couple of ssds into the ground being mostly full for just a few weeks.
