Only good chromebook is one running linux
I wish there were more direct-to-linux notebook options with ARM core processors. I know you can install Linux on a Chromebook, but that seems to be somewhat of a pain and if you fuck up then you've destroyed the device.
I'd love a "chromebook" from the manufacturer that had Debian pre-installed. I guess the Pinebook is about the only thing that comes close to this, but that's seemed like a hit or miss proposition since they came out.
Why does that seem hit or miss? I know they've been backordered but i haven't heard anything about crap units being delivered.
Some seem to have problems like dead pixels, and the better support (at least a while back) was through Armbian.
I will admit it's been a while since I looked, so they may be better now.
