I use qwant lite, it gives acceptable results. Searx is also good, but the instances fail a lot.

Start Page is actually more private and can actually give some different results than DDG which only rubber stamps the joogle results..

They were nice but now you can't even use it with a VPN or Tor. I think they changed owners.
