In today's world, you need to make archive copies of videos you want to watch later. You can't depend on any platform to host anything for long.

Fortunately, there is a very easy and free way to do this with Youtube, Bitchute and probably other platforms as well. This works for PC, Mac and Linux

  1. Download or update .
  2. Click on Menu > Media > Network stream
  3. Go to the movie you want to download.
  4. Youtube videos, simply paste the URL of the video into the URL field. Bitchute and other video platforms will work by pressing F12 in your browser. Click on elements so the debugger will highlight the video. Then click on the video. In the debugger window, open the HTML code so you find the <video src="https://linktovideo.mp4"> tag. Copy the url of the video file. Paste that URL into the VLC field.
  5. The play button has a small arrow indicating there is a sub-menu for the button. Click it and select Convert. Here you can enter the actual file name you want the video to be saved as. Typically the format is mp4.

Now when youtube deletes the video, you can simply repost it!

Bitchute: right-click on video page > view source or inspect element > CTRL + F > search for .mp4. > copy link from First result > paste in your download page/section.

Youtube: http://ddownr.com (works for Twatter, Instaham, Nosebook...). Don't forget to use an adblock. Other solution is to use youtube-dl.
