My opinion is that I have never seen it mentioned anywhere until I saw this post. You can use ProtonVPN or MullvadVPN for NordVPN.
If there is a 'Z' in the name I've learned that its usually the mark of a jew.
Mostly good reviews, and the critical ones:

are not that bad. That said, the choice of VPNs depends entirely on ones requirements and goals. You actually do need to do your homework to make an informed decision. For example, do you require no logs, killswitch, no leaks, safe locale, a particular protocol, unlimited bandwith, multi-hop, TOR friendly, GUI client, etc.? For example, what are wanting to use it for....hide IP address, hide activity from ISP, circumvent geoblocking, torrent downloads, make life difficult for hackers?
you really got to be careful with those vpn "review" sites though - probably at least half are put up by the companies
and yes, i totally agree that one must consider what their threat profile looks like before making a choice
The review sites are only where you start (after you know what questions to ask and what to look for). While they gather together a lot of info that would take much tedious Google searching to replicate, they are not the end destination, and fact-checking is required. Way too many idiots on other forums want me to just tell them which VPN to choose, because they are too damn lazy to do the homework necessary to make an informed decision. Instead I tell them to flip a coin. Picking a VPN is an important decision that most prefer to treat flippantly, then bitch and whine when it fails to live up to their expectations.
i agree totally with what you said and i offer some resources for choosing a VPN here...
