The first generation are those mainstream platforms (Reddit (2005), YouTube (2005), Twitter (2006), Imgur (2009), Wikipedia (2001), etc.) all have a thing in common: Their rules have become more strict over time.

The second-generation platforms (Voat (2014), Wikia (2006), ZippCast (2011), VidMe (2014), Verond (2016), Vlare.TV (2019), BitChute (2017), Gab.ai (2016), Parler (2018)) seem less restrictive but largely suffered from technical issues.

The third-generation platforms (Poal.co (2018), EverybodyWiki (2018), Pic8.co (2018), Vid8.poal.co (2020).

I never heard of EverybodyWiki before. I like that they want to save Wikipedia pages before they get deleted.
