I thought I might bring this up because I've always thought about the prospect of what it would be like to do link aggregator platforms similar to Reddit on the fediverse. And apparently, I'm not the only one. I wonder what it would be like if Throat instances like Phuks and Poal were able to federate with each other and with platforms like Lemmy.

Isn't fediverse controlled by f-droid, who have a policy of censorship?

No. It's decentralized. No single person owns the entire fediverse. The fediverse is a global network composed of multiple instances, each run their own administrators/moderators under their own rules.

F-Droid is an app through which you can get apps for Android. Huge difference between the two.

I remember how f-droid made a point that the Gab app should be censored and all fediverse instances should not allow participation to Gab. That was when Gab made a move to offer access through Mastodon(?) instances. I don't remember the exact details, but everyone who would offer access to Gab was to be outcasted by the rest and a similar policy was to be implimented concerning all free speech outlets. (F-droid had made an announcement that they don't like free speech)

So fediverce may not be "owned" by a single person in the traditional sense, but it is controlled by SJWs who will quickly demand that everyone avoids your instance if you don't capitulate.

Which is the reason I prefer to wait for "Mobile Linux" instead of depending on the whims of the f-droid clique.
