You can avoid about 80% of the shit out there with just adblock and noscript. The rest is knowing not to click on biglustyboobsinheat.avi.exe and not using things like Outlook.
Last time I had a virus on a windows machine was about 2005 - it was a bad ad.
For real man, ive been using ublock origin since around the time i last had a virus, and im certain that its the fucking ads that do it
It's almost always a bad ad or a malicious script on a webpage. Ad providers and website owners refuse to police the ads they present, so I have no choice but to block them.
