Its possible, and I see why people would like it. I however still drive a stick shift because I think automatics are cheating.
I get it, but I've heard similar arguments before. Some old fuck some decades ago was saying 'muh horse and buggy,' and people looked at him with the same indifference as I do you. Bless your heart. ;]
Hey you enjoy your new fancy automated car, and I'll have fun driving my stick shift. When its got a bed and I can get laid while going to work then I'll consider getting into one of them automated cars.
That's precisely what I am talking about. Full automation. Tesla is cool, but merely a sideshow.
I don't know how to drive automatic, so I have to have a stickshift.
This is the correct answer.
That's what I told the [possibly literally] retarded salesman last time I bought a new car from a dealer. Man, I might ordinarily disqualify a dealer for hiring retards, but at least he was polite and helpful, and that' considerably more [nice positive things] than I could say about any of the other Fiat dealerships within a 50 mile radius.
Why I thought I wanted a Fiat is somewhat beyond me now, but I did have a lot of fun with the thing, but it ate transmissions the way some cars consume oil, and when it needed it's third rebuild, I just dumped it and got something else...
But I digress, as per tradition.
