If you see someone shilling for Utopia they are either part of the swamp or they are a useful idiot. There are so many red flags with Utopia I don't even know where to start:
- Utopia is being pushed hard by just about every tech rag out there but there has been zero organic growth and adoption that you typically see in open source projects. Just suddenly, practically over night, there are a bunch of news articles saying it is the best thing since sliced bread. Someone with enough influence to shape the media narrative is pushing Utopia. This is the biggest red flag.
- Zero technical details are available. They make lots of claims... Its totally secure, 100% anonymous, distributed, P2P, not blockable, end-to-end encrypted, etc. But they provide not a single detail. There is not even a description of the architecture of the system. Nothing.
- It is NOT OPEN SOURCE!
- It is totally 100% secure and anonymous... but you need to register with a name and email to do anything.
- They are pushing a mutli-level-marketing business model. They ask you to shill for the company and the more new users you bring in the more rewards you get and the rewards are Bitcoin with cash value. This is why we see so many useful idiots shilling it now.
- Utopia provides zero revenue to the makers of utopia, but yet they have the cash to pay people bitcoin. This is not how the world works. Software is made either by a community of volunteers for free, or it is made by a business with some financial motivation. If it is not community developed, and no obvious revenue stream for the creators... then the users are the products not the customers.
- The website for Utopia has a nice design and lots of production value. Good layout, custom images, nice logo but no real information, no technical details. It just looks real nice and asks you for your name and email to do anything. They are well funded but have no substance.
- IT IS FUCKING MADE BY PEOPLE WHO CALL THEMSELVES "The 1984 Group" Not kidding, you can't make this shit up. Symbolism will be their downfall.
So to review: It is propitiatory closed source software developed by well funded people who want to collect your personal info and they use deceptive marketing practices to bring in new users and they are specifically targeting the demographic of people who need/want privacy and anonymity. Smells like Zog.
>They ask you to shill for the company and the more new users you bring in the more rewards you get and the rewards are Bitcoin with cash value.
That's ponzy/pyramid scheme 101
Utopia is literally the only thing that posts about.
Looks like spam to me.

https://beta.u.is/ an ecosystem with messenger, mail, browser and financial operations. Like nothing like that exists and it promises to be fully encrypted. Just want to share it with newbies and discuss with those who already tried it.
