absolute truth is the only collective understanding we can have with one another--though truths are not experiences. if i jump, i return to earth, if i inhale water, i drown, if i don't drink water i die of dehydration etc. those truths, including moral absolutes, can be handed as a common understanding across the human race--however the feeling of sadness, remorse, joy, or security -- for example -- cannot be shared. they are at best understood by one another
