You don't have to hate your enemies to know that they're your enemies. Letting go of hatred is fantastic practical advice, that will greatly improve your life and allow you to make better, more-informed decisions. That being said, if someone breaks in to my house and tries to rape my daughter: well, they're not gonna get an acoustic rendition of Reelin' In The Years. Same thing goes if my manager pulls me aside and asks me to, "try and act less white."
No one is asking you to love someone trying to break into your house
I didn't say that either. Conflating hatred with enemy-knowing is almost as silly as conflating love with enemy-unawareness. But you're telling me that jews are not my enemy, and then going on to tell me to let-go of hate and live in love and peace. I know that jews are my enemy... and yet I also live a life of forgiveness and trying to do the best by God, that I possibly can. Where does that put me?
