when i was homeschooled, around the age of 15 i read animal farm. but i was bored and running out of things to do and read out there in the middle of no where. not sure how we had a copy just sitting around, but i read animal farm and The Giver several times and it was kind of an early red pill to read it several times WITHOUT someone there to tell me what to think about the book (like in school).
I often have the quote "all animals are equal but some are more equal than others" running through my head randomly.
i havnt heard of F'451, sounds like it would be a good read!
I think i somewhat recently saw the movie Brave New World, it was very old. maybe im thinking of a different story. It was the one where everyone was medicated and all their needs were provided for as long as they did their job and didnt ask too many questions.
There was also one i watched similarly old with a slightly different plot. where everything looked war torn and everyone worked long hard hours with minimal resources. One day the main character steals chocolate or has sex with a prostitute or something, and kinda falls off the deepend of "wrongthink" where he and his girlfriend get tortured into reforming to the system where they apologize to everyone on national TV saying they know what they did was wrong.

The Giver is f*ng brilliant and should be required reading for every single White person.
Farenheit 451 is really great.
Seems like a lot of us Poalers were young avid readers of similar tastes. No surprise in some ways.
