Street shitters always give them selves up when they apologize.

"A thousand apologies" is a common phrase they use.

I would write back "Thank you for your concern Mr Abbate but $4 million is not enough to bother with all the paperwork. Please accept it as my gift to you for all your hard work."

Four parts to the con:

  • You will get a lot of money if you respond.

  • You are required to respond in 72 hours.

  • You will be prosecuted by the IRS if you refuse to respond.

  • You are prohibited by the FBI from contacting any bank or security agancy for advice.

It was a nice touch for the scammers not to ask for any money or payment in this e-mail. That's for later, when they get the sucker on the hook.
