It's an issue with the church. A few from that church have spouted the same thing at me. I can't figure out if they are just painfully ignorant of Islam or afraid of political backlash. I suspect it's fear motivated considering the body language response to the suguestion that muslims worship a different god (not even that they are wrong or bad.... just different). Which is worse, you can at least teach ignorance to be better. Not much you can do with a coward.
