My experience has been the one thing dying people want is for the things they will miss to happen quickly. for them. Its everyone else who wants to lock them away.

Clearly the foremost concern of a 20 year old with a terminal illness.
Also, a side of terminal illness no one cares about is mental. Your mental health goes straight to shit with terminal illnesses, especailly as the disease gets worst. This is very common in my own illness(emphysema), the non compliance of medical treatments is very very high, and all the oxygen exchange issues eventually cause the brain to go absolutely nuts
Anyone can put a nasal canala in and say they're dying.
