Its cold this weekend and I finally made chili. I typically cook it in the crockpot and its an all day event which makes the house smell really good. I have been working on my recipe for a few years now and I feel like I have it down where both 101 and I like it.

My Chili recipe 1 pound of ground beef 1 can of black beans 1 can kidney beans 1 can pinto beans 1 can rotel tomatoes with chilies 1 can chicken or beef stock 1 can of tomato paste or 1 jar of tomato sauce Garlic for sautéing beef & 1 ½ tsp into chili 3 Bay leaf 1 ¼ tsp Oregano 1 ½ tsp Crushed Red pepper flakes & 1 tsp chili oil w/flakes ¼ tsp Cumin ¼ tsp Paprika Dash of onion powder Dash of thyme Salt & pepper to taste

Brown beef in butter with salt, pepper and garlic (I typically use garlic paste but fresh is always preferred). Once meat is cooked, transfer to a crock pot. Add beans, rotel tomatoes with chilies, chicken stock, tomato sauce, spices and stir. A note on beans: dump each can on a colander/food strainer and rinse with water first before transferring to the crockpot. Cook on high for 4 hours, then cook on low for another 4 hours.

If cooking in a pressure cooker: Brown beef in butter with salt, pepper and garlic paste in the pressure cooker (on sauté setting). Once done, add all other ingredients, stir and cook on a chili setting.

Glad it took you 5 seconds, probably would have taken me 5 hours! :)

As far as 1 & 3, the only option in Maps that I have is open supported links, and that setting was already off.

For 2 on Samsung Internet, there's no 3 lines at bottom right and no 'useful features' anywhere that could find. I'm on a tablet not a phone, so maybe that's it.

I'm flummoxed at this point.

Oh shit, just got a call! Had to put SpouseAnon in nursing home because of dementia and now they're calling because the dialysis center wants me to sit for the 4 hours of dialysis because of agitation issues Tues, Thu & Sat. I already do transport on Sat since driver is off. Don't know if I can do tomorrow as I'm snowed in. Was so nice not to have to get up and go those two days! Now I have to be there 4+ hours 3 days a week is going to suck. Hope they have internet there!

I'll be back when I can to see what else I can do about this stupid opening maps issue. Thank you for all your time and trouble to help me, as this isn't the first time I've had problems and you've helped me. At least, I'm still logged in! ;)

Guess I better start shovelling, it's almost 12+inches, still snowing, and I'm a decrepit 66yo. :(

I think it means an hamburger menu like the ones we have on Poal, top left, and right (on mobile).

To stop the Samsung Internet browser from automatically opening Google Maps on your tablet, go to Settings > Apps > Google Maps > Set as default and turn off "Open supported links". Alternatively, you can disable the "Allow app links" setting in the app details for Maps to prevent automatic redirects.

Key Solutions to Prevent Auto-Opening Maps:

Change App Link Settings (Most Effective): Navigate to your tablet's Settings > Apps. Find and select Maps. Tap on Open by default or Set as default. Toggle Open supported links off, or select "Don't open in this app".

Disable "Open Links in Other Apps" in Browser: Open Samsung Internet and go to Settings (three-line menu). Look for settings related to Useful features or similar, and toggle off Open links in other apps.

Clear Data for Maps: If the issue persists, go to Settings > Apps > Maps > Storage > Clear Data.
