Or, you could, you know, breast feed your kid. Too many women (like too many men) are too stupid and lazy to be good parents.
I also blame the lack of family and community. Not too long ago, young women were surrounded by their mothers and their church community who would show them how to be good mothers. We have lost this in our western society.
There a a few rare cases that justify formula. But, for the vast majority, if you use formula for your baby - you are a bad parent.
Breast feeding isn't easy. We lacked the aforementioned community and family, so we had to get a lactation consultant to help us sort it out. But, it was important to us so we did the work, got expert advice, and raised strong babies without that nasty formula.
Some women - in very rare occasions - might not have the breast tissue for that. I'm not speaking about the things that take synthetic hormones but women who don't have sufficient fat for breast tissue or might have had a double mastectomy for some health reason or something...
Yep. Also if the mother is having chemo or other harsh medical treatments. As I said rare cases.
But, most women are physically able to breast feed the baby, while only ~1/3 of them do.
