The product fail has caused at least one second-degree burn, according to a recall announcement published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The Zwilling Enfinigy electric kettles subject to the recall were sold at Costco and HomeGoods stores in the the US between September 2019 and November 2025, with an additional 43,000 sold in Canada and Mexico. Zwilling received 163 reports of handles loosening or separating from the kettle, in addition to the one burn report.

I have never been to a Costco. Considering their quality control as of lately, perhaps that is for the better.
