There is no defense against a missile fired from an offshore vessel, whether submerged or on the surface. Travel time from launch to impact for anyplace within 500 miles east of the west coast is between 2 and 7 minutes. The SIOP addressed this issue way back in the 1980's and the conclusions made by the JCS were on the level with "bend over and kiss your patootie goodbye". The same scenario applies to the US east coast, which is why it is futile to have boots on the ground "protecting" the Inauguration or State of the Union joint session of congress. Strategic decapitation is particularly grave if the Designated Survivor is assassinated or is a feckless progressive snowflake. Where the strategic decapitation scenario fails is predicting the US response. Should such an attack take place, I would ponder the quote: "Woe unto you and your children and their children's children; the fires of the heavens shall sunder and rage upon you and yours for eternity." As for "eternity", just the half-life of plutonium would be enough. You may be sure that the SIOP and the US Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) takes seriously the decapitation threat. It would be a hot time in the old town tonight over there in the attacker's territory. BTW, should there be no designated survivors remaining, the COOP requires an interim committee of 15 individuals drawn from various places in government, industry and commerce, would be sequestered with real-time communications between their scattered remote hardened sites. N.B.: RE: SIOP

The Single Integrated Operating Plan (SIOP) was developed back in 1960; it was replaced by OPLAN 8044 in 2003. It is a living document maintained by the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS). There are ten sections to it, each hundreds of pages in length. It is in loose-leaf form so that pages can be removed and replaced. There was a book, "SIOP", written by Peter Pringle and William Arkin in 1983 which is dated but has good information in it. There are many levels of security access required to the various parts of the SIOP or OPLAN 8044. There is also a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) which is administered by FEMA/DHS. The SIOP has hundreds of scenarios to address attacks upon the US. It even includes Extraterrestrial contacts. One of the most closely held portions deal with Strategic Decapitation of the US Government. Strategic Decapitation means that the entire leadership of the USA would be destroyed at one fell swoop. The most popular hypothesis is an attack against the US Capitol using a nuclear weapon.

Consider a single large thermonuclear weapon detonated at the time of either the inauguration or the joint session of Congress: that would get everyone within several miles of ground zero. After that, the COOP would be activated as "COOP-One" - the maximum recovery effort possible, and OPLAN 8044 would activate, with the US military going to DEFCON ONE. COOP-One includes Martial Law, resource conservation and confiscation, rationing and the suspending of Writs of Habeas Corpus.

Of interest to Preppers and Militia Folks, the COOP has a section which “recommends” that the appointed interim administrators call upon able-bodied US Citizens who hold a valid Concealed Carry Permit or other equivalent documents to volunteer to be appointed temporary United States Marshals. Concurrently, The Administrators would call upon local and state Militia Groups to suspend their various differences and political wrangling and volunteer to support and assist the State Guard forces.

Martial Law would be declared in a sectional modus, where some areas would be free of Martial Law, and others under very strict rule. Since the niggers and beaner/taco-bender gangs in their ghettos will immediate begin rioting after a catastrophic strategic decapitation, it is a sure bet that Martial Law would be most severe in those sub-human Ghettos. Likewise, the Muslimslime areas, such as Dearborn, MI, which is for all practical sense a Sharia Compliant Muslim city, and the various Muslim “Communes” or “Training Camps” which are known to number at least 14 places, would be also taken into strict regime.

Unfortunately, the Obama Regime and Cabal, followed by the senile Chinese puppet Biden, have done little or nothing to enable our ability to resist such an attack. I am sure North Korea and Iran and Saudi Arabia are already hatching plans for a joint effort to decapitate the Great Satan.
