1) Turn off your phone

2) Leave the house

3) Don't turn it back on till you get back

4) Do this at least once a week. Increase frequency as you can.

Why? One day you may have a need to move around without Big Brother watching. One day you may need to have credible evidence that your phone location data is not a accurate record of your physical location. Most importantly this breaks a bad habit. Always on connectivity has lead to always on surveillance and in general most of us do not need such constant connectivity. Turn off the phone and most people realize that they do not need it on while driving; they do not need it on while at the store; they do not need it while at work. One day you will realize you are happier and safer.

My phone battery is so bad I do that almost every day.

I like this idea.

As it gets to be routine, maybe spice it up by having the phone off in situations where you would normally "need" it, such as navigating to a new place/area where you're not familiar with the roads.
