I bought a mini fridge. Air conditioning. I bought a lot of clothes, slippers, shoes. I bought a lot of hand tools and some power tools. I bought plenty of food (for storage). I have over twenty gallons for storage (I use 3 for storing water), more than 100 plastic bottles, more than 20 glass bottles.

Next things will be : Buy more of all of the above, buy tools to work on land, seeds, etc.

I don't spend another penny on games, computers and cell phones anymore, I don't even have a smartphone and I don't need one either, I only buy real, visible and useful things now.

Get at least one

50 amp hr lithium iron phosphate battery. Enough power to run power tools in spurts. Affordable now. Will last 10 years or more.

An inverter of at least 1000 watts steady.

As much solar as needed to replace what you use each day

Old corded power tools can be gotten cheap from pawn shops. Also easier than charging batteries

Jigsaw, circular saw, electric chain saw, hammers and tons and tons of nails.

Also learn how to make wooden pegs to replace nails.

Anything to melt some metal.

A electric blower. Even an old hardryer can do which can also double as a heater in a pinch.

A couple of good water pumps.

Hoses. Electric cord. Pipes. Like people's throwaway garden hoses and extensions cords or from yard sales.

Spare cloth. Seewng machine. Strong needles for hand sewing. Good thread.

If you have a place to store scrap in your yard you can get most of these items for free.

Tin roofing.

Honestly this stuff is fun to have around anyway.

A good shovel.

A trencher if you can find one

A couple of cheap analog radios.

A few good books for fixing and making and gardening that you store in air tight containers. Remember most bags now are made to decompose so bagging is not good enough.

Some water purifying filters.

And learn to make some from clay.

Learn how to fire clay in a homemade clay chimney.

Learn how to cast metal in sand from imprints.

One of those laser wood cutters. Would be a great.

You could actually make products to sell with lots of this stuff so make money while you learn.

Home fired unusual clay pots are always sellable.
