Hmmm. That would make it easier to store and transport. I don’t know anyone who’s worked there to ask.
canning chicken is really easy, you just raw pack it with a little salt, then "pressure" can it per your elevation.. comes out cooked. I wanted to get a tin canner, but those are super expensive.
Its great when you pass by super cheap deals on chicken breast, i would buy a couple packs of them. one chicken breast per pint... you dont even have add water or anything. comes out super tender. chicken stock is another one too, beats anything you buy at store.
I never done fish, but canned tuna is cheap enough as it is.
I can all kinds of meats, although I’ve not canned fish either. We have a stocked pond so we have a plentiful supply of that. We raise or hunt a good deal of our meat, except pork. I won’t raise those things again. We raise meat rabbits which is better white chicken meat than chicken.
