There's all this shilling against "resolutions" in all the media, because some reason humans are too weak to stick to a plan.

Here is mine, and it is a nexus of personal, home/car, and prepping: it's like a Preventive Maintenance schedule of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual items that I know must be done. Introducing regularity and discipline to my home life like I do at work.

I have 6 categories and they're a bit comical in that they seem like I attach even importance: BODY, SOUL, MIND, PREP, CAR, HOME

Some examples; keep in mind most of this was already being done just wanted to shore up the regularity:

  • BODY: lifting (daily), rowing (weekly), blood test (quarterly thanks @Aragorn), dental cleanings (semiannual), eye/ear/overall health appts (annual)
  • MIND: practice chess (weekly), practice banjo (weekly), organize bills/paperwork pile (semiannual), sell/donate clothes (annual)
  • SOUL: church, catechism
  • PREP: run generator, gun range (monthly), run gas stove (quarterly), check water storage (semiannual)
  • CAR: wash, tire pressure, fluids/hoses/belts, oil change, wax/detail etc
  • HOME: lawn routine, vinegar faucets, clean appliances, HVAC seasonal PM, gutters, water prefilter change, UV lamp change

If you stick to half that plan you'll still be bettering yourself. Make a checklist it gets addictive checking stuff off. Happy New Year faggot!
