Honey is best - but only raw unpastuerized honey, plus it may be hard to come by in a crisis (unless you have a few colonies). Sugar is cheap, raw honey is not.
1 small container of Honey will last for years. These are high price items that will not expire, worth the cost and accumulated over time. I laugh at the ammo shoppers as this too should be accumulated over time. Then replace/rotate stock after range time.
Yes, that is true providing you keep the fingers of those needing something sweet out of the jar (but one can have regular honey for that purpose).
Every trip to town for shopping or dining should include building up provisions of some type or another.
We have about 8 kg of raw honey we get from the Mennonites, its not a lot but it is enough for the Betterhalf and I.
Dollar store / Dollarama has 5 packs of 6 hour candles for $1.25. They have devotional candles that have a 40 hour burn time for $1.50. It is crazy not to buy them now
My region Honey is easily available from local farms. In in the NE. I was raised prepared for the worst case scenario but realize that this buy you two months typically. We... are dependent upon each other in many ways. A strong community is better than a strong man. Strength in numbers and everyone has a strong point.
