The idea of drinking booze out of plastic bottles after sitting there for 10 years is not appealing to me. Glass. Buy it by the case as it's already packed well.

Alcohol is good for use as an antiseptic and wound cleaning. Sterilization if need be. The cheap stuff in the half gallon plastic bottles work just as well as glass bottled. It would be a good barter item. You might consider getting the shot and a half bottles, by the case of course, as smaller amounts are more negotiable.

Most of those drunks are decent tradesmen. Have them build you something and give them the spirits in trade. You can always protect your stash. Don't be scared by the fearful.
Allow them on your property in a wrol situation.
Allow them to scout your land/holdings.
Wonder how they still (claim to) have access to building materials.

instant coffee packets would be good if things ever get really bad.
We hate instant coffee but have 4 boxes of a 100 packets just for trading (or when we dont want to wash out the french press)
Even better, you can buy a small still and make your own moonshine for fuel, drinking, and trading
I have seriously considered a still. You can buy them on amazon for fuck sakes. I really don’t need another project, and, I really don’t need 150 proof booze around!😜
