So how much fluid does the average, healthy adult living in a temperate climate need? The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine determined that an adequate daily fluid intake is:

About 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids for men
About 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women

These recommendations cover fluids from water, other beverages and food. About 20 percent of daily fluid intake usually comes from food and the rest from drinks.

8 ounces, or 0.2273048 liters, or 0.0600477625 gallons, of water every 24 hours isn't bad, but couldn't help me do much, but hold off my thirst for a bit. If you could generate that output in a dessert, definitely sign me up. In the meantime, it would probably be best to develop a discrete stealth rain catchment system instead.

yeah you'd combine it with rain catchments, so you have consistent capacity + periodic replenishment
