Here is a list I've been thinking lately

  • Tecsun multi-band radio, possibly with an extra long range antenna

  • Corebooted thinkpad

  • Alfa wifi adapter with extra long range antenna, possibly a panel or fishbone one

  • Powerbank that can charge through solar cells

  • Low weight solar energy cell powerful enough to power electronics or perhaps charge rechargable batteries

  • Rechargable batteries

For some of these items it may not be easy to source them.

What do you think of this list? Any ideas to improve it?

Another thought that dawned on me is that digital communications don't work really well in a scenario like that, so the radio frequencies would be more useful. But who would broadcast then, as analog radio is supposed to be on its way out and less and less people have the knowledge and the equipment to broadcast?
