I keep a bag in the car that has clothes, a sleeping system, rain gear, food/water etc... I think it is important to have something like this, especially if you live in a rural area. I change contents of this bag out based on the seasons. I'm a little overdue on doing it for cold weather, so I'm taking care of that today.

Posting here to encourage others to have a "get back home bag" as they are often called.

If anyone has one and wants to share that would be cool too.

Smart. Blanket and water for sure.

Extra ammo and two guns also

Exactly. Who needs preparation for emergencies when you have a gun. Just shoot yourself a blanket. This is why as a prepper I only have 72 hours of food storage but a 10 year supply of ammo. I'm absolutely not going to be a determent to my community when shit hits the fan.

That's rediculous hyperbole. Guns however longterm are far better for sustaining life in terms of being able to hunt for food and protect oneself. So you bet I'm making sure I have enough ammo and a couple of rifles.
