Not much to see here. Just more of the liberals/progressives getting what they vote for and ask for but then getting pissed off that it was built in THEIR neighborhood. Typical NIMBY bullshit.

From the post:

People living in University Park, a North Portland neighborhood, said that ever since the Peninsula Crossing Safe Rest Village appeared, crime rates have skyrocketed. Portland police data supports this claim, according to KATU. Between July 2023, shortly after the housing site opened, and July 2024, there were 923 reported property crimes in the University Park area. But between July 2022 and July 2023, there were only 482 of the same reported crimes.

A “safe rest village” is typically hard plastic bubble domes and are supposed to move every 6 months, I’m from here but they don’t. Once crime gets too bad, they move it to wreak havoc somewhere else while never solving the problem.

The big problem now are the illegal gangs coming across the border and setting up shop and they’re only now being noticed because they’re so violent they’re overshadowing the homeless(bum) problem. But people are just starting to take notice and talking about it.

They’re not only mentally ill, they’re drug addicts and violent, but but have more compassion and “not all of them”. But we all remember the M&M candy meme these idiots would post, “here’s a hundred m&m’s only three are poisonous, eat some, not all men are bad”

Unfortunately these morons don’t apply the same flawed logic to this “protected group” though. In this case it would be here’s a 100 m&m’s only 99.5 of them are poisonous, take a handful.

As you stated I was ignored from 2009 and called crazy and needed “more compassion” until it became an epidemic in 2020 around here then the liberals have drawn lines amongst themselves. They love the homeless until it affects them. We have morons with refrigerators in their front yard and shelving to feed these idiots.

We have a church taking a huge check to house them on the property where the leadership doesn’t live and is ruining the neighborhood.

“Tiny homes” were supposed to be permanent and have background checks, nope, they put them by elementary schools in nice neighborhoods lol and they become drug and prostitution dens and have all kinds of violent people around all night.

I deal with these idiots daily.

I wish this surprised me. Sadly, it does not.

And those are the idiots who still proclaim there isn’t a problem. A huge divide within the liberal ranks. Same with hard drug legalization, they were all for it until it affected their neighborhoods.

The new trend is asking where to buy narcan to virtue signal or saying you carry it with you so if they see someone overdosing they can help them lmao. They wouldn’t get within a 100 feet of one of these drug addicts let alone if they were OD’ing.
