I was in a clearing on a woods tote road in the mountains near my camp gathering firewood one fall and saw 2 A-10s buzzing around the mountains practicing maneuvers. Next thing I knew they had locked onto us and buzzed us about a dozen times in about a half hour! It was cool ... they would come out of nowhere. We waved as they flew over. I would hate to be their prey.
