Unfortunately politics is a compromise between what you want and what everybody else wants and in this instance we have no Glorious Leader to light our way, what we need is a centrist '80s Democrat to regain power and then we can take it from there. The onus is on us if somebody can open the door, all other futures lead to our demise. We must do what everybody else does... only more so.
