Trump has made two mistakes. One is his continuing defense of the Covid vax, which cannot be defended. Two is his attacks on Ron Desantis. Why is Trump attacking Desantis? Because Trump is afraid of him. He knows Desantis is the only candidate who might be able to defeat him in 2024, so he has over-reacted by attacking Desantis. This has turned large numbers of his supporters against him.
