That might be true. But i think most people are heavily biased towards a perspective or two. Once you figure out what their biases are it’s not much of a problem stepping around the biases and finding the gems.
Well, we all are biased, this is normal human behavior. But there is line which Showell cross. He manipulate truth / fact to achieve his goal. In other words he use very subtle form of lying to manipulate people around him. Be biased and be dishonest are two different things.
I don’t dispute he does this.
But I believe all people do this to some degree or another.
We all recognize our interpretation of the world around us as true. Yet we all have bias’. So we all are guilty of manipulating (with words and actions) our relationship with the world around us to others.
Sure. Sowell does that. But so do I. And you likely do as well.
Well, I try to avoid my bias. I rather say I hate - don't love - disdain something/someone because I intentionally don't give a fuck about truth and facts. ( almost ) never try to camouflage my bias with fabricated facts. So you can hate me, or disdain or whatever... I also don't give a fuck. Same is with other people, when someone spill his hate - bias, I accept this, don't even try to change his opinion. I can call such people weirdo, full, extreme sometime.... but this don't stop me to drink beer with such dude if he is ok. in general. We all have some 'bugs'. Laying don't give you benefit on long run. You can lie some people some time, but no one can lie ALL people ALL time.
So I don't consider myself as racist - nationalist. Leftards these days push the borders so I end on "alt right" side of political spectrum... on 'wrong side of history'. Although I consider myself pretty lefty. I don't hate blacks, especially if they live in his native continent Africa. But also don't have any respect for them, don't have too much sympathy for his 'tough history' because they do this to themselves. Blacks are one who ENSLAVE AND SELL BLACK SLAVES, WHITE RACE ARE ONE WHICH ABOLISH SLAVERY ON THIS PLANET. So, biggest enslavers and slave owners - traders are Black people. I don't except that they feel gratitude to White Race for his Global liberation ( because White force muslims to abandon slavery, mostly blacks ), but amount of hate toward Whites is disgusting.
DL:DR I never hear that Showell talk about Black Guilty, never talk that muslims had biggest number of black slaves... never mention that in White slawery black population flourish while in muslim world although muslims import black slaves from beginning don't have significant number of black population. In fact there is no black 'pure blood' citizens of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Dubai, Iran, etc. Maybe because they castrate black male slaves and kill any offspring of black female sex slaves? I will be happy to read Showell articles about this... to see his condemnation of abeed word. Can you provide me a link for such article?
